A quick guide to navigate your fertility journey
Your embryology report is more than just numbers: it holds clues about egg quality, sperm performance, and how your embryos developed in the lab. By reviewing it carefully, we can spot patterns that might explain why a cycle didn’t work, highlight what went well, and guide what to do differently next time.
Anyone who has completed an IVF or egg-freezing cycle can benefit from understanding their embryology results.
I often work with patients who:
I translate your technical lab data into clear, practical insights. Together, we’ll look at fertilization rates, embryo development, and any PGT results to help you understand what they mean for your unique situation. My goal is to give you realistic expectations and a better sense of where to focus your next steps.
Typically, I’ll need your embryology report, lab or fertilization sheets, and (if available) embryo grading (and photos!) or PGT reports. You’ll be able to upload these securely before your consultation. If you’re not sure what to request from your clinic, I can provide a checklist to make it easy.
No — I don’t replace your doctor or tell you where to go. Instead, I give you the knowledge and tools to ask the right questions and advocate for yourself. If you’re comparing clinics or labs, I can help you evaluate their published success rates and lab practices so you can make an informed choice.
Absolutely. Many patients share my summary or recommendations with their physician. The goal is collaboration by helping your care team better understand your concerns and priorities so your next cycle is as informed as possible.
Absolutely. If you’ve already frozen eggs, I can review your cycle details: number of eggs retrieved, maturity rate, and expected survival after thaw and give you a clearer picture of what those numbers mean for your future chances. If you’re planning to freeze eggs, we can discuss what to expect and what questions to ask your clinic before you start.
Your embryos are stored safely in liquid nitrogen tanks until you are ready to use them. I can help you understand your embryo storage report, what the grades mean, and how many embryos you might need for a realistic chance at pregnancy. If you are thinking about transferring, thawing, or moving your embryos to another clinic, I can guide you on what to ask and what to expect from the process.
